Senior Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage complex projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling government and municipal projects, with a strong emphasis on design build practices. This role will require excellent leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage project budgets and resources while mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project team members to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, including project updates and budget forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, particularly in government and municipal projects.
- Manage and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on commercial, government and/or municipal projects.
- Proven experience in design build project delivery.
- Strong understanding of budget management, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
