Job Opportunity: Senior Project Surveyor (PLS)

Location: Madison, WI Type: Full-Time, In-Office

Are you a skilled Professional Land Surveyor with a passion for excellence and efficiency? We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Surveyor to join our Madison, WI office. If you're experienced, detail-oriented, and ready to lead a variety of land surveying projects, we want to hear from you!

About the Role: As a Senior Project Surveyor, you'll oversee and administer land surveying projects, ranging from land development to civil engineering. You will collaborate with internal teams and external customers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Your expertise will guide project scopes, survey estimates, land division schedules, and community meetings. Additionally, you will handle project correspondence, QA/QC processes, construction coordination, and project closeouts.

What You'll Do:

Project Administration & Design Support: Manage project documentation, communicate with agencies, coordinate schedules, and oversee tasks.
Survey Preparation: Draft surveys, perform calculations, research public records, and prepare flood elevation certificates.
Construction Oversight: Guide fieldwork, create construction layouts, and supervise technical staff during construction computation and layout.
Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering and surveying technicians, and maintain open communication within departments.

What We're Looking For:

Licensure: Valid Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S.) license in Wisconsin, with multi-state licensure being a plus.
Experience: Proficiency in Autocad Civil3d (2022+). CST Certification is a plus.
Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, detail-oriented mindset, and innovative problem-solving approach.
Requirements: Valid Driver's License. Ability to work independently, travel occasionally, and work extended hours as needed.
