We are looking to bring on a Product Design Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
-Design and develop custom and standard products for the industrial process cooling and heating industry.
-Coordinate the release of jobs by providing drawings and support to production.
-Build bill of materials structures for both standard product and custom job releases.
-Provide shop support for the development of new products, building of customer units, and product maintenance.
-Develop and implement testing plans as required.
-Interface directly with customers to ensure that the product meets expectations regarding performance, quality, and appearance.
-Respond to and implement continuous cost reduction and product improvements.
-Provide technical support for Sales, Purchasing, and Service departments.
-Interface with vendors, other engineering and manufacturing groups as required.
Qualifications
-BS in Mechanical Engineering.
-Experience in the design of industrial equipment or durable goods (minimum 2 years).
-Interest in refrigeration, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, electrical systems and controls.
-Experience with component layout, sheet metal design, welding design, and piping design.
-Experience with electromechanical devices.
-Experience with assembly drawings and electrical and mechanical schematics.
-Experience with SolidWorks or other solid modeling design software.
-Proficient with computers and ERP Business software.
-A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills using the English language.
-Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
