Position Overview

The Mechanical Superintendent role is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. Our typical projects are $7M-$14M in size and involve heavy mechanical installations, including piping and hydronic systems, chillers, etc and our most common clients are in the medical/ healthcare industry. This position involves managing teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and train field project team members to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the production of contracted scopes of work.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, inspectors, and other trades.
  • Coordinate production and attend meetings to resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and mechanical code standards.
  • Manage material and personnel requirements to meet project schedules.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing commercial mechanical projects
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large and complex projects
  • Proficient in project management software and tools
